Want Starfox Assault early?
posted by

Head over to Blockbuster starting Tuesday, and rent the game early! Not only that, but with Blockbuster's new policy, if you still have the game seven days after it's due, they'll charge you for it and you'll actually own the game two weeks early! Thank me later! Starfox now!

Revolutionary rumors
posted by

Here are some rumors about Nintendo's next system:
-The controller will contain gyroscopes, allowing for motion-control gaming
-It will have dual processors and built-in broadband, which will hopefully be utilized a bit more than GameCube's if it does happen
-The DS will not connect to it, but possibly the 'Game Boy Evolution' will
-The unit itself will have four controller ports, a hard drive, and support for high-resolution displays and Dolby Digital 5.1 channel surround sound
-The unit will use HD-DVD (an 'upgrade' of DVDs but also the competitor to Sony's Blu-ray discs) and be backwards compatible with GameCube games.
-The console will launch with a Mario game, and a Zelda game is in the works as well as a new Smash Bros.
Remember these are rumors!

RUMOR: Halo on Gizmondo!?

First off, if you don't know what the Gizmondo is go here: http://www.gizmondo.com/ Now that you know that consider this: Halo on Gizmondo! It could work! I mean, the thing has a 128 bit graphics chip! Microsoft has a good relationship with the makers of the Gizmondo. They are even making Mech Assault for it! However, Bungie says "it's not planned at this time." AT THIS TIME! Maybe someday...

The final word on the PSP battery!

In this month's PSM, they tested the PSP's battery life while playing Rige Racer. The battery lasted 3 1/2 to 4 hours with the light all the way and the volume midway. With the light off, it lasted an hour and and a half more. That means the DS battery lasts twice as long. I think sony is trying a little too hard with their handheld.

Could it be!?

Long time no update! Sorry, but I was busy playing my new games form Christmas. Expect reviews soon.
Anyway, on to the news. This could possibly be the best news ever! It involves Xbox 2 and Halo. Here is the official statement from OXM:
"Halo 2.5 will be an Xbox 2 launch title and is going to run in HDTV resolution with new, improved textures and graphical effects. All the stuff that people expected from Halo 2 but didn't make the cut will be there. The technology that powers Halo 2 has been designed from day one to take advantage of the next generation hardware," the insider added. "In Halo 2, the Xbox was pushed to its limits but now the game will reach new heights with the advanced hardware. Now, here is the twist. Halo 2.5 will come preloaded with the optional HDD. It'll be one of the two reasons to get the Xbox 2 that comes with a hard drive. The other reason, well, you'll just have to wait!"
Think of it as a directors cut; hopefully we'll see the ATV, flame thrower, and maybe a real ending to Halo 2! This also confirms that there will be multiple versions of Xbox 2. One of which will have a hard drive.
More as it breaks!
