Portal franchise is still alive

Did you enjoy Portal when it released back in 2007 but think, "Gee wizz, that game was crackerjack! If only it was lengthier and more fully featured! Gosh darn it that would be nifty keen!" Well then do I have news for you! The April issue of Gameinformer has blown the lid off of Portal 2. Scans are floating around in cyberspace but I refuse to read them until I get my copy of the magazine and can look at everything in real life clarity. That being said, I really can't tell you anything about the game except that it takes place quite a while after the first, is a full retail game with a full retail price and full retail length, and it has co-op. If you don't get Gameinformer, or don't want to shell out the money for the latest issue, you can find the links to the magazine scans right here!

*NOTE* I just noticed this after I linked all the images. They may be slightly out of order. I'm too lazy to fix it, but I'm sure you can figure it out. After all, if you played Portal, you must be some kind of intelligent.

Get into the Blur beta NOW!

If I were you, I'd hurry before all these glorious beta codes are gone. Joystiq has acquired quite a few of them, but I'm sure they'll go fast. If you do get one, you won't have long to wait either, as the beta starts next monday.

Seasteading Institute

I stumbled across this today and thought it was quite impressive. David Friedman, son of famous economist Milton Friedman has proposed the creation of the Seasteading Institute.

This ocean platform pictured in the model above will become the new frontier in political theory research. The sole purpose of the Seasteading Institute is to test various types of governments and see how humans cope under the conditions placed. It's an ambitious project that is already undergoing construction, and perhaps it will pave the way for the creation of future pseudo nations.

Fallout New Vegas

Alright people, I know I don't post much but this trailer is epic. I've never done a game review and I usually just rant about what I'm thinking right then, but this is different. I was a HUGE Fallout 3 fan, and they are now making a new Fallout game "Fallout New Vegas", and I am excited. From the few flash screen shots and such that are floating around the interwebs and other mystical sources, I have been able to gather the fact that the gameplay and graphics are VERY similar to fallout 3, VATS included. But, let's not talk about that. Never mind that my grades will die a painful and slow death, this game is gonna rock. Instead of posting stuff that you can all read yourself and would require an extensive amount of typeing on my part, I'm gonna post the trailer and some links to informative pages.

So my goshparpen computer wont let me post the images, but these are scans from a magazine that are very helpfull....READ THEM!!

Review: Plastic Beach by Gorillaz

It's been five years since the masterpiece that was Demon Days. If you're looking for more of that, keep looking. Plastic Beach cannot be compared. It's not that it's better or worse, it's just so completely different, both from Demon Days and Gorillaz's self titled debut. The first Gorillaz album without a producer, this one is handled by Damon Albarn himself. That's probably one of the reasons that Gorillaz has an ever changing sound, with Dan the Automator at the helm of the first, Dangermouse at the helm of the second, and Albarn at the helm of the the third. Whatever your expectations, throw them out the window. If there's one thing you should expect about Gorillaz, it's the unexpected.

March Band of the Month: Radiohead

So in an attempt to redeem myself, I'm going to attempt to do my first band of the month post in a LONG time. For this month I'm going to look at a band which many of you people might be familiar with already. However for those of you who don't know let me introduce you to my favorite band of all time: Radiohead.

Photobucket

It's Gorillaz IN THE THIRD DIMENSION!

Gorillaz music videos are notoriously awesome. This one is no exception. It uses CGI this time instead of good 'ol flat animation, but it's surprisingly badass. And it's got a surprise cameo appearance.

I can't write/Radiohead Video

Seriously, I can't believe I wrote this:

"I personally loved this Dragonball Z game. Out of all the Dragonball games ever created, Tenkaichi three had the largest rooster of playable characters. The combat was fast paced, DBZ authentic, and rewarding. It also offered a wide variety of unlockable content, which further increased the games already high replayability. Only the Wii version had online play, which unfortunately was often hindered by lag. Overall I personally consider Tenkaichi 3 the best Dragonball game to have ever been created."

Horrible...I'm so ashamed I don't think I'll write for a while

Instead as a tribute to music month, here is an awesome video of Radiohead. They're a great band if you haven't heard of them yet. Perhaps later on I'll do a review of them, when I don't suck.
